Duration: 6 Days 5 Nights Season: Dry Season from October to January although snowfall can be
expected in between beyond Lachung.
DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 01: NJP/Bagdogra to Gangtok. You will
witness the change of vegetation from tropical of
the Bengal to the temperate of Sikkim as you move
upward. Look out for Hornbills in the Mahananda
sanctuary near Siliguri.
Day02: Gangtok to Lachung Halt at
Lachung. You might be woken up early by the
Whistling Thrush at Lachung
Day03: Lachung to Yumthang back to
Lachung: You are travelling from sub alpine to
alpine region and back. Snow Pigeons regularly hover
around at Yumthang. Snow Finches, Grandalas,
Accentors are seen here. Both sides of the valleys
are known to have Monal Pheasants and Satyr Tragopan.

Day04: Lachung to Yumthang back to
Lachung.
Look out for two pairs of White Ibis along the
Yumthang River
