 We at Marcopolo World Travels aim to
make the experience of trekking, tours, mountain biking and
white water rafting real and worth while for every single
moment. Over the years we have achieved a great deal of experience of
operating trekking and white water rafting, right from the
gusty-flowing rivers of the lofty Khangchendzonga. We provide
the best arrangement for trekking backed up by the team of
highly trained and experienced Sherpa guides and kitchen crew,
"who all have led many trekking groups to their credit of the
successful operations". All the equipments we use on the trek
are imported from the European countries and of
best available quality. Our high quality and reliable services
has reached its height, even up to the base of Mt.
Khangchendzonga, the third highest peak in the world. Marcopolo World Travels is professionally managed by a team of
esteemed personnels who have good knowledge and experience in
organizing treks and white water rafting.
Marcopolo World Travel was established in the year 1994
with running Hotels and Resorts in Lachung, North Sikkim. We
have today grown to, thanks to our kind clientele, providing
full-fledged facilities including Conferences, Package Tours,
Trekking, and Rafting. Our Services today extend to covering
the neighbouring States of Darjeeling, Nepal and Bhutan.
Through actual field experiences,
Workshops, Trainings and Orientation Programmes, our courteous
staffs are capable of turning your Programmes into a memorable
experience.
Since our inception days, we have been
concerned about the protection, preservation and conservation
of our fragile eco-system and our cultural heritage. To this
end we have adopted a code of conduct to make your travel both
a pleasure and eco friendly.

Born in Lachen, North Sikkim and a graduate of Delhi University. He is known
for his knowledge in the Geography of Sikkim and Buddhism. He was
in Switzerland for high altitude hospitality business. He has
successfully accented Brungkhangtse East and Chombu in North
Sikkim. He has received an A grade certificate from Himalayan
Mountain Institute in the field of mountaineering and
Adventure. |

He is a manager with a difference. Since the day Marcopolo was
established, he has been the backbone of this company. He is a
specialist in trekking and has covered almost most parts of
West and North Sikkim. Flavio a tour leader of Italy has once
said" I have trekked almost whole of Nepal with numerous
guides but I find G.Sharma the Best for his practical
knowledge of the area and management of the Campsite. He is a
unique combination of Management and Adventure.

Our Calcutta office is headed by Mr P.K.Chatterjee. He has
immense knowledge about the Tourism scenario of Sikkim.He has
been in Tourism Industry for almost 12 years and with
Marcopolo its been 5 years.

He is the son of Mr P.K.Chatterjee and has done his schooling
from Gangtok, Sikkim and Kolkata. From his young age he's been
associated with tourism. At present he is working at Kolkata
Branch Office as marketing coordinator with his father.
